How to use the Background Remover

What is the Background Remover?
The remover compares every pixel with the background colour. In “connected area” mode it only removes background pixels connected to the edges of the image, so similar colours inside the subject stay intact. In “all matching pixels” mode it removes that colour everywhere, which is useful for logos with holes.

Why is the output a PNG?
JPG does not support transparency. PNG and WebP do; PNG is the most widely supported.
