What is the Image Rotator?
Rotating an image turns it around its centre. Quarter turns (90°, 180°, 270°) are lossless in terms of pixels; other angles enlarge the canvas so no corner is cut off, filling the new area with transparency (PNG/WebP) or white (JPG).
Frequently asked questions
Why does my photo look sideways on some sites?
Phones often store orientation as EXIF metadata instead of rotating the pixels. Some apps ignore that tag. Rotating here bakes the orientation into the pixels so it displays correctly everywhere.
