JSON-LD Validator & Viewer
Paste JSON-LD or an HTML snippet with script tags to check it: JSON syntax with line and column, @context and @type, unknown keywords, ISO dates, absolute URLs and properties Google lists as required for common types. Browse the data in an expandable tree and copy it formatted. Remote contexts are never fetched.
This tool runs entirely in your browser.
How to use the JSON-LD Validator & Viewer
- 1Paste JSON-LD, or copy a page’s HTML source (or just its <script type="application/ld+json"> tags) and paste that.
- 2Read the summary and the list of errors and warnings; each one shows the JSON path it refers to, such as $.author.name.
- 3Expand the tree to explore nested entities, and copy the formatted JSON when you’re done.
What is the JSON-LD Validator & Viewer?
JSON-LD is the format search engines recommend for structured data: a JSON object with an @context (usually https://schema.org) and an @type such as Article, Product or FAQPage, placed in a <script type="application/ld+json"> element. Mistakes are easy — a trailing comma breaks the JSON, a date like 14/10/2026 isn’t ISO 8601, and a misspelled keyword such as @Type is ignored.
This validator runs entirely in your browser. It checks JSON syntax, the structure of contexts, types and @id references, date and URL formats, and the properties that Google’s documentation lists as required for common types. It doesn’t download remote contexts or check every Schema.org property, and it can’t predict rich results — use Google’s Rich Results Test for that final check.

How to Validate JSON-LD Structured Data and Fix Common Errors →Frequently asked questions
Is this the same as Google’s Rich Results Test?
No. It’s a fast local check of syntax and structure. Google’s test also checks eligibility for specific search features and renders the live page.
Can I paste a whole HTML page?
Yes. Every <script type="application/ld+json"> block in it is extracted and checked; the rest of the HTML is ignored.
Why is there a warning about a missing property?
Some types have properties Google lists as required — for example, Question needs acceptedAnswer and Offer needs price and priceCurrency. Without them the markup is still valid JSON-LD but won’t qualify for those features.
Is the JSON-LD Validator & Viewer free and private?
Yes. The JSON-LD Validator & Viewer is free, needs no account, and runs entirely in your browser. What you type is never sent to a server or stored.
