How to use the Online Timer

- 2Press Start; pause or add a minute at any time.
- 3When the timer ends, an alarm beeps and the display flashes until you dismiss it.
What is the Online Timer?
The timer counts down to a fixed end time, so it stays accurate even if the browser throttles background tabs. Allow notifications to get an alert when the page is hidden.
The remaining time is also shown in the browser tab title, so you can keep an eye on it while working in another tab.
Frequently asked questions
Why didn’t I hear the alarm?
Browsers only play sound after you have interacted with the page — pressing Start counts. Check that your device is not muted.
Is the Online Timer free and private?
Yes. The Online Timer is free, needs no account, and runs entirely in your browser. What you type is never sent to a server or stored.
