What is the Remove Line Breaks?

PDFs store text line by line, so copying from one adds a hard line break at the end of every line. Pasted into an email or form, that leaves ragged, broken sentences. Joining the lines with a space restores normal paragraphs.

“Remove, keep paragraphs” treats a blank line as the end of a paragraph and keeps it, while joining the lines inside each paragraph. “Join words hyphenated across lines” turns “infor-” + “mation” back into “information” when the next line starts with a lowercase letter. When it starts with a capital or a digit, as in “Jean-” + “Luc”, the hyphen is kept and the words are joined as “Jean-Luc”. A real compound split at its hyphen, such as “well-” + “known”, becomes “wellknown”, so give the result a quick read.
