How to use the Crop PDF

What is the Crop PDF?
Cropping sets the PDF’s crop box, which tells viewers and printers which part of each page to show. “Trim white margins” measures the page you are viewing. It is lossless and instant: text stays selectable and nothing is re-compressed.
Because the trimmed area is only hidden, the content outside the crop box is still inside the file. Don’t use cropping to remove confidential information — if it must be gone for good, convert it to images with PDF to JPG and turn those back into a PDF with the Image Converter. Margins set on one page are applied proportionally to pages of other sizes, and cropping an already-cropped PDF trims it further.

Can I crop just one page?
Yes. Set the crop box on that page and choose “This page only”, or list several pages under “Custom pages”.
Does cropping make the file smaller?
Usually not, because the hidden content stays in the file. To reduce the size, use Compress PDF afterwards.
