GIF Maker
Make an animated GIF from photos, screenshots or drawings. Add images, put them in order, set how long each frame shows and the width, choose looping, and download the GIF — created in your browser without uploading anything and without a watermark.
Your files never leave your device.
How to use the GIF Maker

- 2Use the arrows to put the frames in order.
- 3Set the time per frame, the width and how different-sized images are fitted.
- 4Click “Create GIF”, preview it and download.
What is the GIF Maker?
GIFs are limited to 256 colours per frame, so they suit graphics, screenshots and short slideshows better than detailed photos. Smaller widths and fewer frames keep the file light enough for chats and email.
The first image sets the GIF’s proportions. Others are fitted inside it with coloured bars, or cropped to fill the frame if you prefer. GIFs made here are opaque: transparent areas are filled with the bar colour. To turn a video clip into a GIF, use Video to GIF.
Frequently asked questions
How many images can a GIF have?
Up to 200 frames here. For smooth animation use 50–100 ms per frame; for a slideshow, 0.5–2 seconds per frame.
Why does my GIF look grainy?
GIF can store only 256 colours per frame, so photos with smooth gradients show banding. Lower the width or use simpler images for the cleanest result.
Is the GIF Maker free and private?
Yes. The GIF Maker is free, needs no account, and processes your files entirely in your browser. Files are never uploaded to a server or stored.
