Scientific Calculator
A full scientific calculator in your browser: trigonometry in degrees or radians, logarithms, powers, roots, factorials, constants π and e, parentheses and calculation history. Type with your keyboard or tap the buttons.
This tool runs entirely in your browser.
How to use the Scientific Calculator
- 1Type an expression such as 2^10 or sin(30) + log(100), or use the buttons.
- 2Choose degrees or radians for trigonometry.
- 3Press = or Enter. Use “Ans” to reuse the last result; earlier results stay in the history.
What is the Scientific Calculator?
Operator precedence follows standard maths rules: powers before multiplication and division, then addition and subtraction; powers are right-associative, so 2^3^2 = 2^9 = 512. Implicit multiplication like 2π or 3(4+1) is supported.
Expressions are evaluated by a small built-in parser — not by running code — and the calculator works offline once loaded.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between log and ln?
log is the base-10 logarithm (log(1000) = 3); ln is the natural logarithm with base e (ln(e) = 1).
Why does tan(90) show an error?
In degrees, tan(90°) is undefined because cos(90°) is zero, so the calculator reports it instead of showing a huge rounding artefact.
Is the Scientific Calculator free and private?
Yes. The Scientific Calculator is free, needs no account, and runs entirely in your browser. What you type is never sent to a server or stored.
