New Game
Emoji Puzzle — Test Your Memory with Emoji Cards 🃏
We've added a new game to Emojar: Emoji Puzzle. It's a classic memory match game where every card on the board hides a random emoji — and your job is to find every matching pair.
How It Works
All cards start face-down showing a ?. Click any card to flip it over and reveal the emoji underneath. Then flip a second card — if the two emojis match, the pair is cleared and stays visible. If they don't match, both cards flip back after a short pause and you try again.
The game tracks three things:
- Pairs found — how many of the hidden pairs you've uncovered so far
- Moves — every time you flip two cards counts as one move, whether they match or not
- Time — a timer starts on your first flip and stops when the board is cleared
The goal is to clear the entire board in as few moves and as little time as possible. Remembering where each emoji was — even after it flips back — is what separates a good run from a great one.
Three Difficulty Levels
😊 Easy (4×4) — 16 cards hiding 8 pairs. A good starting point if you want to get a feel for the game, or if you just want a quick round.
🤔 Medium (6×6) — 36 cards hiding 18 pairs. The difficulty ramps up meaningfully here. You'll need to hold a mental map of a much larger board.
🔥 Hard (8×8) — 64 cards hiding 32 pairs. This is the real test. Clearing a full 8×8 board cleanly requires genuine concentration — good luck.
Each difficulty can be started with a single click from the selector at the top of the game. Switching difficulty resets the board instantly with a fresh random shuffle.
The Emoji Factor
Every session is different because the emoji pairs are drawn randomly from Emojar's full library of over 3,700 emojis on each new game. You might get a board full of food emojis one round and a mix of flags, animals, and symbols the next.
This also means the game has a slight extra layer of challenge — unlike a traditional memory game with numbered tiles or card suits, some emojis look similar at a glance (different coloured hearts, different hand gestures, similar-looking faces). Pay attention to the details.
Tips
- Flip strategically. On the first few moves, try to spread your flips across the board rather than focusing on one corner. You want to build a mental map of as many positions as possible.
- Don't rush. The timer is just for your personal records. Taking a moment to think before flipping is almost always worth it.
- Matched pairs dim out. Once a pair is cleared it fades to a light green. Use those cleared positions as landmarks to help remember where the remaining unmatched cards are.
